Launched in 2020 by Dr. Don Steele with the support of Terry Duperon, the Practice Pad is a fully equipped music studio located in the community of Indiantown in Saginaw, Michigan. The Practice Pad is an exclusive setting for musicians, bands, and vocal performers to practice and prepare for studio recordings and live performances. Professionals and rising stars from the Great Lakes Bay Region, the State of Michigan, Nashville, and all across the United States have utilized our unique practice and performance venue. Some of our most notable groups are: The Home Team: “The All-Star Band of Practice Pad Musicians;” The Kenny Rogers Band featuring Sheriff Bill Federspiel, Shakedown, The Bob Seger Tribute Band featuring Sheriff Bill Federspiel, Stone Street Revival, Soul Xpress, The Claim Jumpers, Larry McCray, Brush Street, Marty Veers & The Music Doctors, Michele Spitz, Amy Petty, Lora Dale, We, The Infamous, Citrus Orange, and Conjunto Champz.
We are excited to share that plans are underway to host private events in an intimate setting. A limited number of guests can watch rehearsals and/or performances as they prepare for public events. These private events give fans a rare opportunity to see their favorite musicians and bands behind the scenes, as well as interact with them in an exclusive private setting. Tickets for these events will be sold through Eventbrite.
Dr. Don has been an entertainer literally all his adult life. He is a songwriter, singer, and guitarist who has recorded duets with Tammy Wynette and Willie Nelson. He has also played live performances with Merle Haggard, Roy Clark, Asleep at the Wheel, Charley McCoy, Barbara Mandrell, and Reba McEntire, and a host of others.
